Watch: Friends of Beaver Ponds Park

Friends of Beaver Ponds Park is a volunteer organization dedicated to the maintenance of one of New Haven, Connecticut’s green spaces. In collaboration with interns and staff from Urban Resources Initiative, volunteers foster the growth of native species for pollinators, clean the space of trash, and manage invasive plant growth. Over the last 20 years, these dedicated community members have created a space for adults and children alike that encourages curiosity and participation in nature within an otherwise urban setting.
