Janine Weiss

About the Artist

Janine Weiss is a fashion and textile designer who lives in both New Jersey and Vermont. She had her own brand for 30 years, designing and manufacturing women’s clothing in the United States. She not only created the clothing designs for each collection, but she also designed the watercolor artwork used for the printed fabrics. Her love of nature led her to watercolor painting and creating the art for the printed fabrics she uses in her designs. A Parsons School of Design graduate, she went on to become a professor at Parsons where she taught fashion design and illustration for 20 years. She documents daily in her personal journals whimsical illustrations of nature and the events around her in pen, ink, and watercolor.
